After graduating from TZ in ’56, I received a BS from Niagara University and a DDS from New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry in ’64. Doris DePaola (’58) and I married during the first year of dental school. Daughter Suzanne was born in ’61 and son Mark in ’64 at Ft. Bragg, when I enlisted in the Army Dental Corps.

Clinton, NJ, is where I began my general practice of dentistry in ’66; I still enjoy working full time.

Doris and I enjoy our three grandsons: Mark 6, Michael 5 and Chris 4. We travel quite a bit, and have especially loved Italy and many Caribbean Islands. One special journey for us was a roots trip to Slovakia, which was very rewarding. Son-in–law Larry is an avid sailor; we’ve bareboated with them several times in exotic locations. A Fall trip is planned with them and grandson, Michael, for Tahiti.

Keeping busy is a must for me and I love to “garden” around our 8 acre fun home in the pines. Golf and tennis are continued active sports. Last year I discontinued my usual participation in a local sprint triathlon. I was President of the county YMCA for a number of years, board member for about 20. Also am a past President of our local Rotary, still very active with its activities, and serve as a Eucharistic Minister with our church. I’m still involved with the Rotary Youth Exchange Program after serving as a district chairperson for many years. Currently I am chairman of Doris’ Italian American Heritage Club’s golf fundraiser.

Doris is a fantastic cook; we very much enjoy dining in or out, but not without a bottle of wine! We participate in many local charity events, have many dear friends and a hectic social calendar. A successful friend who immigrated here from Lithuania often says, “I love this country!”

Guess I agree—God Bless America!
