The Honorable Thomas A. Ciganek died Monday afternoon with his loved ones at his side at his home in Tappan. Thomas was well known and liked in the community where he was born and raised.
He was a judge for the Village of Piermont for more than 20 years. He was respected for his high degree of integrity and devotion to his profession. He started his practice in Sparkill then moved to Tappan.
He was an avid outdoorsman and an accomplished world traveler. His hobbies included showing dogs particularly Labrador Retrievers and boating.
He leaves his wife Colleen, his sons Thomas and Todd, a daughter Kristine, his brothers Bob, Bill, Mark and Drew. Also two grandchildren.
