Michael Anthony Grace, 48, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away at his home on November 23, 2007. He was born on March 29th, 1959 in Nyack, New York. He attended Tappan Grammar School and Tappan Zee High School. He began his career in auto body repair and advanced to a manager at Varied Collison, Pomona, New York. Michael relocated to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1999 and was employed by Dixie Buick in Fort Myers also as a Manager. Michael was an avid NASCAR racing enthusiast. He served as a coach for the Port Charlotte Little League Teams. He is survived by his son, Robert Grace; his mother, Gloria Grace both of Port Charlotte, Florida; his father, Robert D. Grace of Sylva, North Carolina; his sisters, Kathleen (Gerard) Mrozinski of Tappan, New York and Maureen Grace of Tomkins Cove, New York; nieces Jenna and Victoria Mrozinski; nephew Michael Rocco; several Aunts and Uncles as well as many cousins. He was preceded in death by his niece, Kelly Collins in 2002. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 5th at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tappan, New York with Rev. John Dwyer as the celebrant. Internment will be at Rockland Cemetery at a later date.
