Robert J. Hoffman, a 35 year resident of Pearl River, NY, died Thursday, November 24, 2005 at Mount Sinai Hospital, NY, NY. He was 61. Mr. Hoffman worked as a foreman for Nova Interiors in Englewood, NJ, before retiring in 1995. He also worked security for the Ramapo Parks and Recreation Department. Mr. Hoffman was born August 14, 1944 in Nyack, NY to Frederick and Jane Kubacz Hoffman. He was a 1962 graduate of Tappan Zee High School in Orangeburg, NY. Mr. Hoffman served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968 and was a Veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict. Locally he was a member of the VFW #1655 in Blauvelt, NY. He is survived by his wife Donna M. Hoffman of Pearl River; his children, Theresa and husband Andrew Kennedy of Wappingers Falls, NY; Christine and husband Michael Bonavito of Stony Point, NY; grandson Drew Kennedy; brother Frederick Hoffman of Wappingers Falls, NY; sister Margaret Kopac of Blauvelt, NY; stepmother Virginia Hoffman of Sparkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Monday, at St. Aedan's R.C. Church, Pearl River, NY. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting is Sunday, 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, Inc. Friends may send donations to the American Heart Association.
