Mark H. Leibesberger - age 51, a lifelong resident of Blauvelt, passed away with his family at his bedside at New York Presbyterian Hospital on Tuesday, November 4, 2003. He was born March 24, 1952 to Lionel and Diana Leibesberger. Mark was the oldest of six children. He is survived by his parents and brother Neal Leibesberger; sister-in-law Holly, and niece Casey; his sister Evon McGuire (predeceased brother-in-law James McGuire), nephew James; niece Marie; his brother Wayne Leibesberger; his sister Sandra Dorso; brother-in-law Andy; nephew Andrew; niece Christina; and his sister Susan Urquhart; brother-in-law Angus; nephew Alex; niece and God-daughter Lauren. Mark graduated from Tappan Zee High School in 1970, and from Rockland Community College with a degree in Electronic Technology. He served his country in the United States Air Force for six years achieving the rank of Sergeant. Like his father and brothers, he was a devoted Blauvelt Volunteer Fireman for 33 years and was an honorary life member. He worked for MRC of Congers for 18 years and was employed by Mack Boring and Parts Co., as an Applications Mechanic. He was a loving son, a devoted brother, a faithful uncle, a trustworthy friend, a courageous fireman, and a loyal citizen. Mark will be missed by all that knew him.
