Obituary

Richard Adam Silverman, of Chappaqua, New York, died Friday, August 18, 2006 after a courageous battle with a brain tumor. He was 43. Richard “Rich“ was born in the Bronx, NY on February 27, 1963 to Norman and LoraMay (Erlic) Silverman. He graduated from Tappan Zee High School in 1981 and attended SUNY Albany where he received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science. Prior to his illness, he was VP of Technology at JP Morgan Chase in Manhattan. Rich was married to his devoted and loving wife Amy (nee Miller) for 19 years. He is survived by his four beloved children, Matthew, Brianna, Joshua (9 year old triplets) and Douglas (8), his brother Ethan Silverman, his sister Allison Silverman and a large extended family. Rich had a strong love of music. He was a talented musician, songwriter and guitarist. He also gave private lessons. His other hobbies included skiing, traveling, and biking. He was a member of Bet Torah Synagogue. The Funeral, arranged by Plaza Jewish Community Chapel was held August 20, 2006 at Bet Torah, with a Burial at Sharon Gardens. Shiva will be observed at the Silverman home in Chappaqua, NY until Friday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Silverman family toward the college education for the children. Rich had an angelic soul and treated everyone with love and kindness. He will be greatly missed by all.
